The role

We're building Rebel, a unified platform across the full AI lifecycle: workflow automation, generative AI, agentic systems, classical ML, and a four-tier analytics suite. Twenty-plus product surfaces, one ontology, one permission model, one observability layer.

You'll architect this end-to-end as our founding engineer. You'll own foundational systems, set technical direction, and ship code others build on for years.

What you'll build

  • Studio, Knowledge, Connectors, Workflows, Threads, Canvas, Agentic builders
  • Predictions, Observability, Evals, Governance (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR)
  • Analytics suite: Atlas, Beacon, Trace, Conduit, Oracle, Forge, Maverick, Helm

Responsibilities

  • Own the core ontology and Context Mesh that every product reads from
  • Ship the Studio and Routines runtime
  • Build the agent execution graph and wire it into Connectors
  • Design the eval and observability spine
  • Make build-vs-buy calls and set the engineering bar

Required

  • 4+ years software engineering with production AI/ML experience
  • Deep LLM application work: RAG, function calling, agent loops, evals
  • Production classical ML (scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch)
  • Distributed systems: event-driven, queues, schedulers, stateful workflows
  • Full-stack comfort, enough frontend to prototype a Studio surface

Stack

Python, TypeScript, React, Postgres, Redis, Kafka, Temporal, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP.

About Rebel

Rebel helps enterprises turn their AI investments into real business value. We build the platform that lets large organizations make better decisions, run better operations, and use AI to automate the work that used to take rooms full of people, with the governance, evaluation, and observability needed to put it into production.

We are an equal opportunity employer. Rebel does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected characteristic. Applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered in accordance with applicable law.

If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate in the hiring process, reach out to contact@rebelinc.ai and we'll work with you to find one.
